Kira Crugnale (b. 1989) is a Canadian-born photographer living and working in the United States. Graduating with a BFA in photography from the Toronto Metropolitan University School of Image Arts (2011), her practice blurs the boundaries of editorial, commercial, and fine art work.
Drawing on the interplay between materiality and memory, her work is concerned with recognizing the intimate identities of objects and spaces. Shooting in a mixture of analog and digital formats, her photographs are characterized by their bold use of light, attention to detail, and sense of playfulness.
